Amos Ilani of Blessed Memory

Born in Jerusalem, Amos Ilani served in the IDF in the Nachal and Paratrooper Brigades. He was a member of Kibbutz Sde Boker. 

 

He served for many years as a representative of the Israeli concern Clal in Brazil, as a manager of the company Gibor Sabrina in a variety of positions including: Information Systems Manager, Economics Department Manager, Export Manager, Production Planning Manager, and Company Secretary.

 

He later served as CEO of a large textile firm in Canada, CEO of Israeli food manufacturer Man, and CEO of Ramtam duty-free shops at Ben Gurion Airport.

 

He volunteered in public activities, especially in the Scouts Movement in Israel and abroad. He served as Chairman of the Committee for Relations between Israeli Scouts and German Scouts. He was an international commissioner of the Scouts Association, responsible for the international relations of the movement. He also was one of the founders and board members of the International Forum of Jewish Scouts (IFJS), and received an honorary award from the World Organization of the Scout Movement.

 

He was a member of the plenum and member of the Finance Committee of the Israel Youth Exchange Authority.

 

At Athena Fund, he served as Operations & Logistics Manager from its founding in 2006 until 2016.
